Mrinmoyee Goswami Sarma is one of Assam’s most successful artists, having performed as a vocalist on radio, television, solo music CDs, folk cult, regional folk music, and so on. Her musical journey began at the infant age of five, with training in Hindustani Classical Music. Her first musical professional performance took place at Rajasthan All India Radio Station while she was a student at Maharani Gayatri Devi School, Jaipur. Even when studying Hindustani Classical Music, her love in western music evolved over time. During her time at MGD School, she received numerous musical awards.
After leaving MGD, she enrolled in St. Mary’s School and began her western music study with Rajeswar Bordoloi, who taught her to play the guitar and piano as well as sing along. Her obsessive love in vocals has always driven her to strive for excellence, much like her idols Joan Beaz, Janice Joplin, and Sade. She received numerous awards for her vocal abilities during her academic years. She was also known as the Nightingale, as well as the all-around athlete and sports captain.
